Well we made it back from Mexico without too many issues! The main issue with this trip...RAIN!!! It rained the whole time we were there so that pretty much sucked. Let me start at the beginning. We left St Louis Lambert Airport at 6:25am Friday morning and landed in Miami at 10am. Had a 2 hour layover. Once we were loaded in Miami and took off, we weren't in the air but 20 minutes and had to turn back around and return to Miami because the cabin pressure couldn't be regulated. So we sat for another 3-4 hours waiting for another plane. We finally were able to leave Miami and head to Cancun. By the time we landed in Cancun and arrived at our resort it had been 13 hours since we left St Louis. We were to be in Cancun at 1:45pm but instead we got there at 6pm. So we made the best of it and what did we do??? Bought our first beer! So Friday was shot and by the time we got to the resort and unpacked, freshened up, walked down to the welcome reception, couple more drinks, I was ready for bed!!!
Saturday morning we had high hopes for some great weather and some great site seeing in Mexico. No such luck. It rained all day long. You could see the rain moving in on the Caribbean Sea...which was pretty cool. We sat under some little umbrella huts and watched it rain and drank some blue hawaiians for me and Sol beer for Trav. It could have been worse so we made the best of what was given to us.
Sunday was pretty much the same as Saturday so we got plenty of "room" time which was nice and relaxing.
All in all I would definately go back but would definately plan for an extra day. We traveled all day Friday and all day on Monday. We left the resort at 9:30am and I pulled into my driveway at 12:45am Tuesday morning. What an exhausting trip but well worth the experience!!
Hey girls, wanna plan a Mexican trip sometime? I think it would be a total blast if a bunch of us girls planned to go!!! I'm all for it!!!!
After I purchased this, I felt like such a terrible mother! I woke up at 5 this morning to a very scary sound. I thought someone was banging on my front door. Well, good night, who the heck would that be at 5am! Oh no it wasn't someone at the door....it was my poor child falling out of bed!!! Leigho begged me a couple years ago to buy him a futon. He thought it would be pretty cool to have a bed/couch in his room. Well, if you haven't seen him lately he is just under 6 feet tall....I have to stand on my tip toes just to give him a hug and kiss goodbye!! And I take full advantage of these warm and fuzzy moments because they are few and far between! Teenagers, I am learning, want nothing to do with Moms anymore! I can't imagine I was ever like that!!!!(heehee sorry mom and dad!) Well this futon is pretty worn out so when you lean on one side of it it tips over. Poor lil fella came completely out of it this morning! So.......with all that said.....Mommie will be purchasing a new bed very soon!!!! Anybody know of a money tree growing anywhere?????
